김주현 Juhyeon Kim 金周炫

The meaning of my name is "One who spreads light all around.” In Korea, we usually use Chinese characters in our names, and each character has its own meaning. In my case, Ju(周) means “all around,” and Hyeon(炫) means “light.” Personally, I think the “light” in my name can also mean making people smile — like bringing light to their faces. I feel really happy when people smile while spending time with me.

My eyes and jaw. I have a single eyelid only on my right eye, and I like that part — maybe I got it from my dad. He also has one single eyelid, though I’m not sure on which side. As for my jaw, it’s kind of sharp, like a square angle. It makes me look unique, and I love that about myself. I like myself because I don’t get stressed when something goes wrong. I even think that it’s not really ‘wrong’ — it could be a new opportunity. Everything happens for a reason, you know? This mindset makes me positive and energetic.

Green — especially the green of leaves soaked with rain.

Kimchi-jjigae, a kimchi stew with pork. It’s my comfort food.

My home, especially my room. I can do whatever I want there. I can truly be myself, and that place reflects who I really am. These days, I also love being anywhere on my bike — the scenery I see while riding is really stunning.

I like rainy days. They make me feel calm.

Early morning. I go to bed early and wake up early, so I get to have some quiet time to myself. Sometimes I edit videos, plan my day, have breakfast, go for a run, or just lie in bed thinking.

My Bike. Thesedays. I can go everywhere with it. Also I feel free with the wind on my whole face!

I run three times a week, knit these days, make videos, build my own website, go to the theater, visit galleries, write journal, listen to music, and clean my room.

I worked as a creative project manager in fahion for three years, and now I work at a bike shop. I also write journals.

I enjoy doing things with my hands — writing, knitting, taking photos, making videos, and creating something interesting and fun!

Poor but sexy. I want to live like my parents - not that they were poor, haha. I just want to live with my future husband and maybe with our children, not wishing for a lot of money, but feeling satisfied with who we are, enjoying life, and sharing happiness together.

Love. Giving and receiving.

Love.

Whether my heart still beats.

Love is laughing out loud together, dancing together, and walking together — not just with a boyfriend or girlfriend, but also with family and friends.

A Tight hug.

Visible — in the eyes, in the tone, and in the way people move.

Storm Clouds.
